Toyo Tires Saturday Night at the Rallies Series

SNATR #3 for 2014
The third event in our 2014 Saturday Night at the Rallies Series

These events are designed for the novice and the more advanced competitor, with two sets of instructions following the same route and timing. One set of instructions is easy and designed for the people who are new to navigational rallying, the other set is a bit harder to give some challenge to competitors who have done a few rallies. We'll have separate awards for the different classes.

There is no requirement to be a club member to enter these events, they are open to anybody. Remember we have the draw for a set of Toyo Tires at the end of the season, based on participation rather than finishing positions. Details are here.

The route runs in the Woodstock area and this event is about 100 km long including about 50 Km. of good gravel road, all the rest are paved.  The beginner instructions are fairly simple; accumulative distance and turns, tulip diagrams and lists . No special equipment is required but a watch, pen and clipboard will come in handy.  A calculator will help with the timing but most beginner competitors wisely decide to concentrate on  keeping on route rather than doing exact timing

Check out the brief overview of navigational rallying and this online handbook for more information on how rallies are run.

Here is a sample of the instructions from a previous year, the "easy" instructions will be easier than this, the "hard" will be a bit more advanced.

We've posted the waiver and minor waivers in .pdf format so you can read them and fill them out ahead of time if needed.
This could be important if you plan to run with a minor for whom who you do not have guardianship authority.
