Toyo Tires Saturday Night at the Rallies Series
Presents the Monte SNATR and BBQ
Event #4 in our 2015 beginner level navigational rally series.
Sunday July 19, 2015
Remember to bring lawn chairs!
We're doing our version of the Monte-Carlo Rally again. There are two possible starting points converging on a mid-point and then following a common route to the finish and BBQ. MLRC and SPDA are starting their event in Caledon and it is a little longer than the KWRC route. There is a rally school before the MLRC/SPDA rally, for details check out the event main page at www.montecarlorally.ca .
KWRC Start :
Williams Coffee Pub
Hwy. 8 (King St.) 1km North of Hwy. 401

Car #1 starts at 2:01 PM
Finish about 4:00 PM
BBQ about 5:00 PM, Burgers, condiments and drinks supplied. If you want to bring something along with you feel free to do so but it's not required.
Cost is $30.00 per car. (Cash please, we don't have debit or Visa)
If you can't make it to the rally, just come to the BBQ. Pinehurst has swimming, hiking, canoe and paddleboat rentals and camping. It's a great place to take the kids.
The KWRC route runs around Kitchener and is about 110 km in total. It is run in two legs with a short break in between. There is a mixture of paved and good gravel roads in both legs. The instructions are simple; accumulative and incremental distances and turns, tulip diagrams, lists and paragraphs. No special equipment is required but a watch, pen and clipboard will come in handy. A calculator will help with the timing but most beginner competitors wisely decide to concentrate on keeping on route rather than doing exact timing. If you are new at navigational rallying consider taking the school, but even if you don't you should be able to follow our instructions without too many problems.
Check out the brief overview of navigational rallying and this online handbook for more information on how rallies are run. A sample set of instructions are here.
We've posted the waiver and minor waivers in .pdf
format so you can read them and fill them out ahead of time if needed.
This could be important if you plan to run with a minor for whom who you
do not have guardianship authority.

Entry Form Fill it out, print it and bring it along to save time, or email it to us
Make sure you bring your valid vehicle ownership and insurance slips
with you to the start, as well as a permission letter if you are not the
owner of the vehicle.
It would help with our planning if you could email
me and let me know if you think you may enter. I need to make sure
I get enough food!
